Strong schools require experienced and thoughtful leadership. The Ventura County Office of Education plays a critical role in supporting local districts and students by providing many services.  The VCOE backs up our local schools with early childhood education, career technical education, special education services, school safety programs, technology support, financial oversight and support for districts, and professional development for teachers.

VCOE also serves some of our most vulnerable students, including children with severe disabilities, students with autism, youth in the juvenile justice system, and those kids who have been suspended or expelled. Mike is committed to ensuring these children get what they need to have a fighting chance to pursue their dreams.

Mike’s experience in education, nonprofit leadership, and executive management uniquely qualifies him to provide strong oversight of VCOE. His focus has always been clear:
keep students safe, support their growth, and prepare them for successful futures.; provide each student with what they need to succeed.
